So I have decided that the entire apartment needs a desperate makeover. We have a lot of half-finished projects around the house and it is one huge mess! That is why I have decided for a drastic change a huge project that will be done by July! I would like to introduce you to POEA – Project Organize Entire Apartment. I will take you through the journey of how to organize my entire apartment from a huge mess to something I am proud to live and don’t need to hide everything in the guest bedroom when we are having guests
I love planning. I am not usually so good at following through but the planning really makes me feel happy. So I have made a plan on how to make this work. I started off by creating a timeline:
- Creating a inspirational pinboard on pinterest with my sister
- Living room
- Home Office
- Dining room
- Guest bedroom
- storage area
This plan is of course not set in stone, wait a minute, it’s on the internet so I guess it technically is… This is what I can call a basic guideline. I will try my best to finish the projects in the month they are due BUT I might get a delay here on my blog. I will try not to keep on track which is why I am posting this on a Sunday 31st instead of Monday 1st.
For each room (or a combination of areas) I will start by having an introduction to the space. Then I will be posting all the organizing and other things that need to be done. When it is done I will write a post with the finished room and a reflection as well as a what needs to be done in the future list. At the end of each month I will have a monthly wrap-up.
The reason why I am not finishing the rooms 100% is because I might not have the time – or funds – to do everything I wish. I want to build a Dog Crate and a Painters Ladder but I do realize these projects are too complex at this point in time. For the bathroom I will only be doing a quick organizing as I hope there will be a bathroom renovation in the summer – fingers crossed! Even thought I have just done organized my bedroom I need to take another look in May as I am finding it hard to keep it organized.
During these months I will be focusing mostly on organizing, but I also have a few DIY projects that will be a part of the room makeovers, but there is a reason I have chosen to call the project Organize Entire Apartment and not DIY Entire Apartment.
I will be using my Blog Binder and a word document when I am organizing instead of my Organizing Project Planner. This is mostly because there is so much to do and so many rooms but also because I am not satisfied with it and I will not take the time at the moment to update it.
