My bedroom is the first room in my apartment to be organized and redecorated. It has happened many times before, but it never seamed to last. Therefore I want to show the transformation of the room.
I have the smallest bedroom, located between the kitchen and my big sisters room. I have lived in my room for over two and a half years.
It started by being a greyishbrownishbeigeish notsoverypretty colour, sorry no photos. So I painted it a nice purple colour… Or so I though. In natural light it looked great, but in any other light it looked a weird pink colour. It was quite nice though with the white furniture I had in my room. I was able to keep it like this for about a year.
I was not quite sure how I wanted my bedroom, but I knew I wanted more colour. I went to a paint store and got a LOT of different paint samples. I was thinking of keeping it in pastel colour palette. Pinks, blues, greens, yellows. I finally decided to have pink walls.
But I changed my mind. I wanted a more sophisticated look. I also am a bit into Feng Shui, and they recommend you to paint your walls in skin colours – from pale white to rich chocolate-brown. So I finally decided to paint three walls Coffee Latte colour, and one wall brown. The wall has been like this ever since.
I have also changed out the vent. It had a big impact for being such a small item. I have also switched out the lamp twice. The first was a UFO lamp, a half circle on the ceiling, similar to this one. The second was a spot lamp, looks like this but in white. The third is a small chandelier, Kristaller from IKEA.
The furniture has been another story. It has literally come and gone. At the present moment, the only thing that has always been in my room is the bed. I have some examples of what my room has looked like and I tried to put them in chronological order.

This was actually just some samples I found – I know I have done a lot different. As it looks today it is quite different from number 7. I will show what it looks like in the present in my post on Wednesday. Right now I am actually soaking up how my bedroom has changed and what I can do to finally be satisfied with my bedroom. Is this even possible??
I would love if you left me a comment :)
