It’s a new year and being healthier will probably be on the top of very many lists. I have been juicing every day so far this year which is great! Well… my mum juices, I just drink it. I got up with her really early today to share one of her juicing recipes.
Ingredients:
- 2.5 carrots
- An inch slice of rutabaga
- 1 apple
- 1 beetroot
- 2 celery sticks
You have to slice the skin of the rutabaga and cut it to smaller pieces, cut the apple in two and the beetroot in two. Then add then all in your Juicer one at a time. Check out that lovely red colour from the beetroot.
This is the leftover vegetable meat. I find it quite fascinating actually. Not quite sure what you can use this for, so if you have any idea please let me know!
This recipe makes about 5, 3/4 full, glasses. It is a real vitamin boost in the morning. Here are some of the reasons why its good for you:
Carrots: Vitamin A, B, Beta-carotenes & More
Rutabaga: Vitamin C & Zink
Apple: Antioxidants & improves digestion
Beetroot: Vitamins, Irons & More
Celery: Vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C & More
