Time has seriously flown by and I cannot believe Christmas is here!
I am super excited to celebrate with my family. Our tradition is celebrating Christmas on the 24th of December. We watch tv all day, including “Journey to the Christmas Star“, “Three Wishes For Cinderella” which is dubbed to Norwegian and “From All of Us to All of You” Disney Christmas Classic.
My dad cooks all day and we eat a lovely traditional Christmas meal called Ribbe (Pork Ribs, but different that the normal version) which is one of the three different traditional meals, the others are Pinnekjøtt (eat it other days in Christmas) and Lutefisk (never tried it). For dessert we eat Rice Cream with an almond in. Whoever gets the almond gets a marzipan pig.
We always get dressed really nice for dinner and enjoy it as a family. After dinner we might relax and watch some tv before we open the gifts. We always open one at a time (unless stated otherwise). It’s really fun and it takes a couple of hours. During which time we might change into something more comfortable like PJs as time goes on.
On the 26th we are driving the 4 ish hours to our hometown and staying there til around New Years, the return date is still a little unsure depending on when I have to work again. We will be spending a lot of time with family and cleaning out of the apartment we have there because we are putting it out on the market.
I will be taking a blogging breaking this holiday, but I will be working on my new blog design that will hopefully be done soon. I have two designs I have been working on, but having a trouble deciding on which one I want.
