Two weeks ago I finally got around to doing a project that I have been waiting to start since the end of last year. I have been waiting for the weather to become warm enough and well not rain. We got a couple of days of sun two weeks ago and I took the opportunity to transform our small balcony into a painting area. I had a nightstand that I got for free last autumn that I wanted to paint. I also had a stool I’ve had for a couple of years that had I had a little accident with when we painted our bedroom walls in October-ish last year. I am currently using it as “legs” under a tray but felt it needed a bit more colour.
I was looking at Jotuns Spring Colour collection and came across a beautiful coral colour called butterfly (Colour code: 0540-Y85R) I was so nervous but decided to go for it and one liter of matt paint.
Before Painting:
I had one coat of primer on the nightstand and stool top and two coats of paint.
The nightstand actually needed three and I managed to chip a bit of the side when carrying it inside. However in the next and the following day, it was raining. I decided to try for a slightly distressed look, borrowed some knobs from my mum and lightly sanded around the edges.
Finished Painting
I would love if you left me a comment :)
