I have wanted to make the switch to homemade laundry detergent for a while now and I finally did it! I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and I am super happy with how it turned out!
Ingredients:
- 750 ml flask
- 1 tbs salt
- 2 tbs washing soda
- 8 tbs hot water
- 2.25 tbs liquid castile soap
- Optional: essential oil
Instructions:
- In a bowl combine salt and washing soda
- Add hot water and whisk until combined
- Add castile soap and stir together
- Add essential oil
- Add to a 750 ml bottle and top it off with water – it will start to separate, but just stir it before use
- Use about ¼ cup per load

I’ve never tried making my own laundry soap, but I’m very intrigued by the idea. Your recipe looks a little easier to achieve than most that I’ve seen in the past.
